We will be hosting a follow-up deep dive session for veterans interested in search on Tuesday, June 8th from 1-2:30pm EDT.

^redacted‌ and I will walk through typical economic terms for traditional vs self-funded searchers, provide answers to the most common questions we get from new searchers and share some (ETA) war stories.

Please sign up here if interested in attending, and please pass along to any veterans (or others!) interested in learning more about search.

Alex, this should be a great event and I'm thankful for all of you that are doing this. I think one of the biggest issues getting veterans into this space is awareness. Buying a business is probably not on the minds of many veterans as they transition out of uniform. I remember mention of a few resources for starting a business when I went through the transition assistance program (TAP) but no one really talked about the idea of acquiring a small business as an alternative to getting a job after leaving the military. How do we build more awareness of this option, particularly for transitioning military members? (Maybe work something into the TAP program?)
