Using AI in ETA: Do You Know When You Don’t Know Enough?
Sharing my first piece for Entrepreneurship Handbook.
The piece starts with a small experiment: I wanted to add livestreaming to VAULT without spending much, so I asked AI how to set it up for less than $50. For about $10, I got it working—until it didn’t. Eventually, I reached a point where I couldn’t fix it, and the AI’s answers stopped making sense.
That experience left me with a question: Had AI made me more capable, or just made it easier to go down the wrong path?
I connect that question to the use of AI in entrepreneurship through acquisition and the potential risks: knowing the steps might not be the same as understanding the business—or knowing when to ask for help.
Have you had a similar experience? What do you think this could mean for acquisition entrepreneurs, especially the preprint I cite on AI, confidence, and people’s willingness to say “I don’t know”?
