Has anyone ever been required to place an unlimited guaranty in order to move into a new facility?

We are moving a business and because the company does not have strong financials we are being required to agree to an unlimited guaranty. Has anyone dealt with this before? Am hearing this is not a PG but want to ensure the liability cannot affect individuals who own the LLC. Towards that end, does the LLC by its very nature limit the liability? Many thanks in advance!!

Who (or what entity) is guaranteeing the lease if it's not a personal guarantee? In my experience landlords of small business almost always require a personal guarantee by at least one owner for a lease, but theoretically everything is negotiable!
