About Us We are a small privately-owned business currently operating 2 horticulture services brands in the Bay Area. The Wright Gardner provides indoor office plant services to commercial clients throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and the Central Valley. Vargas Gardening provides commercial landscape maintenance services to the greater San Jose market. Both brands have been operating for many decades and came under the current ownership within the last few years after a generational transition of ownership.

So… about that. We began in 2016 by conducting a broad local search for a closely held and long-running small business to acquire from a retiring owner. Our vision was to become the successor many retiring boomers wish they had. Since making that first acquisition of TWG, we have acquired 9 more complementary businesses from their retiring owners as well, consolidating them under the two current brands. Each acquisition has expanded our team, customer base, and capabilities. Our founders, Nick Haschka and Anupam Sharma, are actively involved in day-to-day management and intend to continue growing every business we acquire by making additional strategic acquisitions, adding new lines of business, acquiring new complementary businesses, and building a bench of high caliber management talent. Key Responsibilities Overseeing, implementing, and continuously improving upon our routine processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transactional accounting. Examples include monthly invoicing, vendor onboarding, bill payments, payroll, and credit card management. Taking on projects to improve our business processes in the finance and administrative functions Professional handling of customer support inquiries from business clientele Ensuring accuracy of client information in our systems and databases Working on special projects with our Sales and Operations departments Supporting merger and acquisitions administration and integration activities

Key Requirements A four year college degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred Working knowledge of Quickbooks and accounting software in general 1-2 years of work experience in finance, accounting or other customer service facing roles Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines Working knowledge of plants and horticulture industry including landscaping is helpful but not required Technical aptitude to learn and help us improve upon the software systems we use to run the business Position will be physically located in South San Francisco or Santa Clara, CA offices and has potential for some remote work, but this is not a permanent 100% remote position.
