----- / / ----- Internship Description ----- / / -----

An internship with PARC Partners ("PARC") is the perfect fit for Undergraduate students who are driven, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are interested in pursuing careers in private equity, investment banking and/or consulting, or working in an operational role in an entrepreneurial venture. PARC offers interns hands-on experience in the development of industry analyses and sourcing of acquisition opportunities, as well as exposure to the structuring of private equity investments and the formation of corporate strategy. Undergraduate students will have both an opportunity to develop practical skills as well as a low-risk way to evaluate their general fit with entrepreneurship.

Analyst interns’ main responsibilities are focused at the core of PARC’s sourcing process where they will take high-level industry theses provided to them by PARC and expand these into detailed industry analyses using a mix of traditional research methods and targeted outreach to industry participants. Once industry analyses are completed, interns will then build a list of companies active in an industry and gather information on each company that is useful in qualifying their potential as an acquisition candidate for PARC. Interns may also be asked to assist with any ad-hoc analyses or workflows that may arise from deals that are being actively pursued.

In addition to the responsibilities above, PARC also offers interns dedicated time for educational development, including weekly case studies and financial modeling training, as well as opportunities to build camaraderie and share best practices within the intern group.

Internships are unpaid, all work is remote, and interns are expected to commit a minimum of[redacted]hours per week for[redacted]weeks; however, PARC will work with interns and their universities to secure academic credit whenever possible. Furthermore, PARC's founders commit to providing interns with ample networking opportunities within the search fund, private equity, investment banking, and/or consulting communities and will serve as enthusiastic references for candidates who show a significant level of commitment to the role.

----- / / ----- FIRM BACKGROUND ----- / / -----

PARC is a search fund whose goal is to identify, acquire, and then manage a single business with a stable base of operations and significant growth potential. PARC was founded by Chris Reese and Tony Pilnik with the backing of a group of investors and entrepreneurs at the core of the search fund universe.

PARC’s founders bring diverse experiences and complementary skills to this venture: Chris’s prior roles include founding Freycinet Capital, an emerging markets investment fund, developing strategy for Iron Mountain Asia Pacific and serving as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan; Tony’s prior roles includes spearheading the design and creation of an innovation function for Target Corporation and managing data strategy consulting engagements with Fortune 500 clients at Sagence. Chris and Tony both earned BA degrees from Duke University, and Chris earned an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
