@redacted‌ asked a good question regarding finance options for self-funded searchers planning an evergreen strategy. Many searchers have suggested the using SBA loans but sadly these are not available outside the US. I would be interested to know if any UK searchers have utilised the Growth Guarantee Scheme, which provides loans of up to £2m backed by the UK government. These loans can be amortised for up to 6 years and is the closest funding option available in the UK. I don’t know if @redacted‌, @redacted‌ or @redacted‌ have any experience?

Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌. The GGS is (now) being used by several high street lenders to support with acquisitions, I've had acquisition loan approved using it and I know others who have closed using it. However, the approach by each lender is significantly different, the security they require, interest rates, PG, etc. can swing to be double what the another is offering.

Thanks for the tag @redacted‌. Yes, the GGS is available for acquisitions. I've used it through HSBC to fund my acquistion. As @redacted‌ says, PGs are still required, and each lender has quite different requirements to access it. Good luck.
