What have you seen / been practicing in terms of finders fee?

I was thinking in terms of up to 0.5% of the transaction with a cap of $50k.

Naturally, a few conditions would have to be met, like:

- only applies to successful transaxtions

- need to arrange a meeting with the seller within. A specific period of time

Anything else? Any comments?

Personally, I think it depends on the source. People in the deal community will have far greater expectations and are enterprise value oriented. Pretty sure most regular non-deal folks from industry, employees, vendors etc would be ecstatic about a $2-10K finder's fee. Reframe it as dollars if you can.

Depends on who you're offering the fee to. If it's just your classmates/friends/industry contacts, then $10K-25K sounds attractive. You'll have to go higher if you're offering this to an actual firm
