Hi everyone,

I'm finishing up my Grad school at MIT this summer and I am considering getting into ETA through the trad Search fund model. Would love to connect with anyone that is already in this space(searchers, investors etc). One of the questions i had is what happens if your investor base says no to the deals you bring to the table, what options does the searcher have in that case?

Can anyone help to clarify this?

Would love to meet people in this space and just talk about your investment thesis and what you are looking for too to see if we can help each other out.

Hi ^redacted‌, I would be happy to connect. The answer to your question if an investor says no to a deal depends on your fund formation organizational documents and contracts. Investors can provide verbal support, support via an indication of interest, or committed support through fund organizational documents and contracts. I'd be happy to discuss this further.
