If you're a family person and a business owner do you take time off to be with your family while they have time off during Spring Break?
Isn't owning your own business about having certain freedom that others who work for an employer do not have?

What you get is freedom to choose when you do the work at your desk, but what you give up is that you are basically always available to work
When the situation requires it,
. When your phone rings, you have to answer it. If you don’t have someone who can back you up then You have to at least get on the laptop a couple of hours a day even on spring break.

Now I’m not saying that everyone runs their business that way, but I run my business that way and that is why my customers come back to me time after time and recommend me to other customers

Yes, autonomy is an important part of the upside of being a business owner. However, increased responsibility means that you have to decide if the business can afford you being gone. If you take the time off and you’re wrong, it’s potentially a big loss. In the initial years, you might not be able to take long breaks, but building the business into an operation that no longer needs you (so that you can take long breaks, for example) is part of your job.
