Thinkchain.AI: AI for Document Deepdive with Chain of Thought

Hi all! We are introducing Thinkchain.AI an AI tool to help with deep document analysis! We have space to add 5 more clients to the rollout and are excited to offer it out to the Searchfunder community. During the initial phase the platform is free. You can add large quantities of a range of document types to the platform and then use AI agents for analysis and deepdive using Chain of Thought.

What is Document Deepdive? We connect to Google Drive based on whichever folders you want to share, and then scan through all kinds of documents, even using OCR, and then set them up for access to your AI agents. You can add large quantities of documents such as DD materials. The documents themselves can be added and removed at any time, and then AI agents with Chain of Thought can be dispatched into the content.

What is Chain of Thought? Chain of Thought is a new AI toolkit which allows an AI to split a question into separate sections (or thoughts) which can be analyzed individually before returning a final response. This approach means that much more complex analysis can be completed than was previously possible. It also means if you don't know how to answer a question, the AI can help by providing its own ideas and original concepts.

Do you use OpenAI? Don't they train on data? We use a range of AI tools. Document analysis is done using a private AI which means most data is never sent to OpenAI. However, we do use OpenAI via the API which under their terms of use means the data is not used for training and is deleted in 30 days. Data can be deleted from ThinkChain at any time and is never trained on by us or shared.

Don't AI's make things up? They sure do! That's why when you use ThinkChain responses are sourced from your own documents and from any internet retrieval directly in the answer. Think of it like an analyst who never sleeps and never forgets. You should still check their work sometimes!

Why only 5 new accounts? Production costs are high and during this stage we are providing the platform free, so we can't add hundred of users (much as we would like to). At the moment we are focused on helping people with the most interesting challenges. Lots of documents, challenging questions, that kind of thing. We want to help you get great answers and push the AI to its limits.

Why Search Funds? We love search funds! I almost did a search fund in 2015 before going into tech. I have met with dozens of search funders over the years, before and after doing Entrepreneurial Acquisition at Stanford. We know how hard it is to get DD done on new and challenging businesses. There is so much to read. We know budgets are limited. Some companies can't be acquired simply because they have too many random docs. We are here to help. We also work with PE but you guys and girls are more fun (shhhhhh!).
