Perhaps I'm wrong here, but seems like for some highly compensated professionals it might be better to stick to their corporate role and invest in other searchers to get exposure to the upside of buying a business (seeing some people here looking for investors with tickets as low as 50K). That way you can potentially get some upside, keep your income level and likely don't even need to adjust your lifestyle... am I missing something here? (perhaps the cases where you go buy a business due to the thrill of the process).
