The search is a full-time job, but has anybody searched while working?

Would I be able to search for a company while still working, even if it took me a longer time?

You can definitely do this while working, but as you stated it may take a lot longer. Adding a buyer's broker would help, but you need to have a good understanding of what fits best with you. I did this and spent my mornings and lunches hoteling out of my car and taking phone calls. Make sure you prioritize your time (e.g. MWF evenings are for evaluating financials, TTh during lunchtime for taking owner phone calls). Also, make sure to set goals so you know if you're staying on track or slacking. 10 deals a month with 3 owner calls, 1 LOI per quarter...whichever works for you and schedule it in as if you're scheduling your work day.

The Harvard professor in this podcast episode did not know anyone who successfully searched part time. https://www.quietlightbrokerage.com/podcast/royce-yudkoff/

Does anyone said it’s possible specifically know anyone who successfully searched part time? I’m open to new info.

In the meantime, I think you’ll struggle to connect with business owners and professionals if your business hours don’t overlap.
