For your review, I would like to share the recording of the Search Fund Alliance roundtable "The Role of Talent Assessments in Search Funds - Achieving Better Outcomes"


During this roundtable, we shared our experiences and views on leveraging assessments of searchers at various stages of the traditional search fund path. Assessments offer more insight and data in the motivation of searchers, and can support navigating the dynamics surrounding the search phase and the operating phase as a CEO, all in a collective effort to build an environment in which the searcher(s) can excel.

With the panel, we share the view that assessments are a useful tool to pursue strong outcomes, but are not a underwriting decision tool when it comes to the decision whether or not to invest in a searcher or a deal.

I shared my experience and teachings from assessments I have taken, and how we have leveraged the outcome to redesign internal processes to improve our operations.
