Has anyone acquired a Home Service Business: in Texas that requires a License?
Plumbing, Electrical...

|What's the best structure to be compliant with Texas state laws and while negotiating with the current manager(s) to loan their license to the business? How much more do you pay them? What's your contingency plan if they leave?

I'm researching if the non-licensed owner can own 100% of the business and designate one of the managers who has their license as the designated License holder.

In the midst of starting a plumbing company now, you have to have an individual with Master's license willing to use their master's number for the company. No equity requirement that I'm aware of but how you structure their compensation would be key to maintaining them. Or if you're able, hire multiple in the event one leaves, but easier said than done in numerous ways.
