Tax implications for US investors in UK search funds

I have a handful of US and Canadian investors asking about tax implications they should be aware of if investing in the UK (via a traditional search fund).

While I'm speaking to a lawyer on structures and possible implications.

Anyone here have any thoughts that might be helpful?

It depends on the structure. For Canada, there could be a requirement to file foreign reporting forms depending on the cost and ownership percentage.
