Does anyone have suggestions for tried-and-true timekeeping apps to help me keep track of how much time I spend on various projects?

Toggl is a great app that is integrated with other project management platforms like Asana, and also has extensions that integrate with G-Suite if that is your email platform. The free version has all the features you need, but the premium version has additional features, such as invoicing and detailed report generation.

There's more project management oriented apps that have timekeeping like Trello, Asana, or Zoho Projects that might hit the mark. They're all tried-and-true.

There's also TSheets by Intuit. You can track project hours, and it also ties into Quickbooks if that's needed.
