From the people I talked to when considering search, the approach that seemed most successful here was blocking off a chunk of a day (or days) to focus on just search (assuming you have the flexibility to do that). I think that can be effective while you are still in the prospecting stage, but the time demands after you are under LOI are such that you will likely be consistently working late nights to keep the deal moving as well as manage the rigors of your full-time job.
