I remember feeling like my search wasn’t really “working.” The whole process felt painfully slow, and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong.

Never really knew where my next lead (or deal conservation) would come from.

The hardest part: occasionally I would hear about other searchers who were finding success. Nice, maybe I'm next??

Whelp thankfully, I made a big shift (or two) and things started to open up gradually.

Finally, I landed a deal in 2016, and then a few more "bolt-ons" from there.

Turned out okay after all!

But for me, the key was to greatly simplify the entire process (i'm a paint-by-numbers kinda guy hah).

I needed something like the minimalist guide to search. No fluff, just simple steps, without all the "tech overwhelm."
