Searching in Miami

Hi All -

I wanted to quickly intro myself to the community. I am a former investment banker moving from NYC to Miami this past week. I just launched my search with Crimson Grove Capital (www.crimsongrovecap.com). We are looking for companies $1-3MM in EBITDA in South & Central Florida.

After 5 weeks of launching the fund, we have made great progress getting the tech stack in place and starting to see deal flow via the broker channel. One thing I've learned so far is the broker world down here is the wild west, where brokers are in the thousands and its difficult to find great brokers that are willing to assist buyers (it certainly is a sellers market!) So far I have been leaning on connections from mentors/other searchers to drum up better quality deals and would love to expand on that. If you have successfully searched in South/Central Florida or are currently in the process, would love to hear from you on any great firms or people that you would recommend connecting with. As we all know, time is the most scarce resource in searching and great broker/banker connections can make a huge impact. Thanks very much in advance.

Separately, I've seen a ton of interest from people in attending a Miami meet-up, I am too!
