Hi all, I’m looking to hire a VA to do various administrative tasks, including AP, invoice processing, data entry, and some basic analytical/spreadsheet work. The role won’t be customer facing, so imperfect English is fine. Long term hire, likely###-###-#### hours a week, I’d like to do it in the most cost effective way possible. Could anyone point me to a source that they’ve used in the past to hire VAs who meet a similar description?

^redacted‌ thanks Luke. https://www.freedom-makers.com/ uses US military spouses as Va's. I went to Graduate School with the founder Laura Yang Renner over a decade ago.

I hired directly rather than going the agency route. I used onlinejobs.ph - unlike Upwork, they don’t take a cut of the person’s earnings. You pay a monthly fee to use the platform.

I selected three people and had them do the same set of starter tasks. It took about 3-5 hours to complete, and I paid them to do this trial run. This gave a nice apples to apples comparison of speed and quality of work.

Oliver - the VA I hired - is superb and currently seeking more hours. He has deep experience in all parts of the search process. Drop him a line if you’re interested. redacted
