I am a former searcher that acquired a $10MM revenue service company and had to wind down the company after 2 years.Searchfunder has invited me to share my story on February 9th at 12:00 PM Mountain time.

For a preview of the story, Here is a LinkedIn article that I wrote about the experience:

While we are taking the week off from live streams, I've highlighted a past session each day this week. I conclude the week with one that has stuck me with the most. As you are exploring search as an option, everyone wonders if there's life afterwards in the event they can't find a business or the business does not succeed. I've heard from both searchers and investors in private conversations that the experience is daunting and is a crucible for what really matters in life -- your health, your character, your family and your relationships. In this session, we learn how John turned a series of unfortunate events into a call to serve others. To find other playbacks, click the past events link on the Main menu ► located next to your profile picture or click the full calendar link just above the events on the Timeline page and then click past events. If this session is useful to you, please like or comment on it so that others may see it as well.

Buyer competition forces some acquirers to make fatal concessions when negotiating with sellers.
• That's why so many people buy the right businesses the wrong ways.
• Or, they have to settle for what other searchers don't want.
