Job Title: Social Media & Content Intern — Harriet Ventures Portfolio Companies Employment Type: Unpaid Internship (Part-time, flexible hours — ideal for academic credit or portfolio building) **About Us** Harriet Ventures acquires and builds exceptional businesses, responsibly shepherding legacy companies into their next era of growth. We're a hands-on firm, which means there's no layer of middle management between you and the top. Our interns work directly with the CEOs of our portfolio companies — not a marketing coordinator, not an assistant, the CEO. **The Role** We're looking for a motivated college student to own the social media presence for our portfolio companies. You'll take existing long-form content our companies produce — blog posts, webinars, articles, case studies — and transform them into short-form posts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and other platforms. You'll work directly with our CEO to understand their priorities and brand voice, then edit, repurpose, and post content on their behalf. You'll track performance metrics and report back on what's working. This isn't a "shadow someone and take notes" internship — you'll be the one making the strategic and creative decisions. You'll walk away with a portfolio of published work across real, growing businesses, direct mentorship from an executive, and measurable proof that you moved the needle. **What You'll Do** - Own the content calendar for one or more portfolio companies across social platforms - Take long-form content (articles, case studies, webinars, etc.) and edit it into snappy short-form posts - Create captions and format content for platform-specific best practices (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) - Post and manage accounts on behalf of the CEOs, maintaining a consistent publishing schedule - Use editing tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Express to create polished, on-brand content - Track key performance metrics — engagement rates, follower growth, reach — and report results to leadership - Bring ideas to the table and collaborate on strategy in regular working sessions with the CEO - Test and iterate on content formats and posting times based on real performance data **What You'll Gain** - Direct mentorship and regular working sessions with a CEO - Full ownership of a real business function, not a simulated project - A portfolio of published, public-facing work to show future employers - Measurable results you can cite by the numbers — engagement metrics, follower growth, campaign performance - A front-row seat to how executives think about brand, content, and growth - A strong reference and letter of recommendation based on your performance **Who You Are** - A current college student (any major) looking to gain real-world professional experience - Comfortable with basic video and photo editing tools — CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar - Active on social media and understand what content performs on different platforms - Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working independently without daily check-ins - Detail-oriented with strong writing instincts and visual intuition - Excited by the idea of being measured on real outcomes and impact, not just effort **How to Apply** Send us: 1.
