Starting with I know everything is negotiable. I'm curious what terms people have been able to successfully negotiate doing self funded search.

Also if you don't plan on operating but find and acquisition but want to place an operator and maintain control.

Darrell, thanks. Yes I have an operator. I just usually work on traditional PE deals. Now that I have a unique opportunity I'm trying to guage the feelings of investors around having to deal with not having control and the operator not being the the searcher

Again I come from the larger PE / Turnatound Restructuring Management Consulting side so have a portfolio of interim management contacts. Search fund wasn't the goal I had been in the process of hunting down $50m-$250m deals in a private equity manager pledge fund model. I just so happened to stumble across a deal that I personally believe could be the next Assurion type of opportunity so it now calls for a complete shift in approach and community.
