Self-Funded Searchers: Looking at Main Street or LMM?

Interested to hear from self-funded searchers, are you looking for Main Street or LMM businesses? I am starting to get organized to begin searching, and looking at the economics, I can see why with the expected PG, there's a lot of common sense to "go big" (within the SBA 7(a) limit), when the loan will exceed your personal funds whether the loan is $750k or $3,5M.

For me, I'm more interested in the lower end, because my role is adjacent to an owner-operator in my W2, and I am very comfortable with stepping in for the operators and mechanics that report to me, whenever there's coverage issues in the manufacturing plant.
