Loved this, its good to here there are other people out there just raising $1-$3million to buy on a brokerage etc, I will def reach out to SIG. sometimes it feels everyone is going massive but being that I just had my first successful exit on my first 7 figure business, I think going super big on a first deal is too risky. I know going small like you did can be a bit unattractive to certain investors, esp family offices, but you stuck with it and did a combination of SBA and giving investors diluted equity to end up still getting 70% ownership very impressive. My only question is how did you convince the bank to allow investors past 20% without them signing a personal guarantee? It seems most banks don't want to deal with investors beyond perhaps just one at less than 20% to cool off the payments, .... Also curious how did you convince the sellers to accept SBA in this super hot sellers market rather then cash ?
