As we know from recent studies published, 1 out of every 3 search funders fails to acquire a business. This data was gathered across "traditional" search funds in the U.S and Canada.

There is not a lot of data around "self-funded" searcher success. So, if you have conducted a self-funded search and either (i) acquired a business or (ii) not acquired a business, I encourage you to take the below survey in an effort to assist your fellow searchers!

No, this only applies to North America, specifically USA and Canada (Stanford GSB 2020 Study). Regarding international search funds, I would check out the 2020 IESE Search Fund Study, which includes 132 first time international search funds as of December 2019.

Hi Adam,

Do you know or have access to this same information but on international search funds. It will be interesting to know how they are doing.
