Self-funded diligence and transaction costs

Hi Team,

I'm in the process of buying a $7m revenue services business. I would appreciate any recommendations on providers and/or cost estimates. We will likely be self-funding through SBA 7A. I know the costs for much larger and more complex transactions, but guidance for micro-cap deals of this size would be appreciated.

We likely need estimates and recommendations for QoE, SPA, and equipment evaluation. DMs or posts are both welcome.

Thanks!

Jeremy

Your QofE price is going to vary widely. I've heard of anything from $10K - $25K for this size company.

Whatever you choose, understand why you're doing a QofE. Any reasonably competent QofE will give you data about the company's actual cashflows that will help you in financial modelling or your 3 year plan. But if what you're really buying is investor comfort, know that there are better known firms and less known firms.

Which firm is which will vary by region, but you might want to check with your capital sources to see who they feel most comfortable with.
