Quantum Medix is a self-funded dental practice acquisition group across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The thesis is the one private equity has already proven in UK dentistry: single practices trade at 5–6× an associate-led baseline; groups of ten to twenty sell to PE and corporate buyers at a materially higher multiple. We buy at the first number with bank debt, run the practices as a network on one operating platform, and sell the group at the second — twenty-plus practices, exit in five to seven years. Where we are: first acquisition in lender credit, written positions due this week; three to four further practices at offer stage; pipeline screened continuously against a written buy box. What we're raising: - A committed facility from one passive capital partner per region, £500k–£750k, covering the first three to four practices in that region. - Each acquisition funded c.85% senior bank debt / 15% regional partner, drawn per completion once the practice passes our DSCR test and a lender has written terms. - Minority shareholding in the regional company that owns the practices (never the group holding company), priced on capital introduced, growing with each practice added. - Exit through the group sale in years five to seven; written buy-back formula from year four as the earlier route out. No operating or clinical role, no board seat, quarterly reporting and information rights. What's in place: a 25-page business plan with a week-by-week first hundred days; an in-house deal-room and underwriting platform; a lender-grade proposal on the first practice with every figure traced to the model; a group finance director, a group clinical adviser and GDC-registered regional clinical leads.
