Fellow Searchfunders,

While the traditional search fund model has its merits, I'm looking to connect with a select few who envision a broader horizon. My goal is to support obsessed methodical capital allocators and builders in creating multi-company serial acquisition holding companies over the next decade and beyond.

Think along the lines of mini-Danahers, Diplomas, Constellation Softwares, or Lifcos. These companies have demonstrated the power of strategic acquisitions, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across diverse industries.

If you're passionate about:

And you have the patience and vision to execute this strategy over an extended period, I'd be interested in discussing how we might work together.

This approach isn't for everyone, but for those with the right mix of ambition, discipline, and long-term thinking, it offers a compelling alternative to the single-company search model.

If this resonates with your goals and you'd like to explore the possibility of building something truly significant, let's connect and discuss further.

Important: In order to engage, you must develop you own thesis or have an area of expertise that you can share with me. I'm not going to respond to people who "want to pick my brain" or just set up a call to chat. I can't respond to everyone who wants to chat, network and spitball ideas.

Please email me at matt at hamptonriver.com with some details about what you want to build.

Hey Matt,
I am currently in the early stages of operating under this exact model. I have a few ongoing theses that we are pipelining deals to hash out a more robust vision. I am currently an investment professional as a generalist capital provider so I have seen the inter workings of countless PE firms strategies and industries so I know what has worked and what is working now. I also have a past history of being a successful entrepreneur having started a small media company prior to jumping into he investments world. I would love to connect and discuss further. Please feel free to DM me here or email redacted
