Curious whether anyone here has looked at wealth management through an ETA-style lens, especially around acquiring or stepping into existing books of business. I’d love to hear from advisors, buyers, or operators who have experience with transitions, succession situations, or book acquisition economics. Interested in what makes these opportunities attractive, where the risks sit, and how much really transfers beyond the headline AUM. If relevant, please reach out.

Following. I have also been an SEC-registered RIA in the past. With technology, there is a lot of room to cut costs. And honestly, you just have to follow what the big boys and girls are doing... until it doesn't work. :)

Ya, I took a look about 2 years ago, but RIA's, even small ones, want multiples way above what an ETA style investor or lender can tolerate. Think 7-11x. That was my experience.
