I’m currently evaluating a healthcare services business in the Northeast that provides biomedical equipment repair services for hospitals and hospital networks, as well as private practices (e.g., dental and specialty clinics). I’d welcome brief conversations with anyone who has experience in this space or adjacent healthcare services, or who could offer insights on a few industry dynamics—particularly labor, recruiting/training, and competitive landscape. Any connections or perspectives would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Anon - nice to meet you. This is a great industry, and something I am always happy to share the knowledge I've gained working with operators in this sector: The biggest thing that matters in biomedical equipment repair is people, not demand. Hospitals will always need their equipment maintained, but there simply aren’t enough trained technicians to meet that need. Companies that can reliably hire, train, and retain technicians are the ones that grow and hold value. Because of this shortage, many hospital systems are quietly outsourcing more work. Even when they have in-house teams, they rely on outside providers for specialized equipment, overflow jobs, and preventive maintenance. It’s often more practical and cost-effective than trying to staff everything internally. We have a lot experience financing equipment repair companies via the SBA. If you ever need help talking through a deal, I am happy to help. We work with all the major SBA lenders. The bank pay us after your loan closes, so this is a 100% free service for you.You can email me directly at redacted or schedule a meeting with me: https://cal.com/francodeguzman/30min. Look forward to chatting!
