How are Searchers finding Investors in the UK?

Having worked as a senior management executive in several public and private establishments across the UK, I occasionally come across potential target companies with strong growth prospects. The challenge has been, and still is, finding equity backers. Any leads, please?

^redacted‌ - thanks for the tag. ^redacted‌ - it depends on the structure you want to follow. If it's standard searcher set-up there is a good group of investors in UK now. If on the other hand you want to go down a self funded route (or some other structure), then the search has to be more bespoke
