Hi everyone,
I’m excited to introduce myself to this community! I recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Finance (concentration in Portfolio Management and Valuation). After graduation, I entered wealth management, where I passed my Series 7 and 66 licenses and currently work under a Financial Advisor.
While I’ve gained valuable licensing and client relationship experience, I’ve come to realize that this path doesn’t align with my long-term vision or entrepreneurial ambitions. The firm I joined hasn’t provided the mentorship or learning opportunities I had hoped for, leaving me feeling out of sync with my creative drive and ultimate goals.
Entrepreneurship has always been my passion. During college, I started and scaled a cleaning service business that generated $10,000 in SDE per month during the summers. It was an incredibly fulfilling experience that taught me how to build relationships, manage teams, and implement scalable systems. I now want to apply those skills to a larger endeavor.
I’ve recently begun my search for small businesses to acquire, focusing on the home service industry, where I already have hands-on experience. My strategy involves leveraging horizontal integration, creating repeatable frameworks, and automating operations to allow businesses to thrive independently of the owner.
As an ambitious newcomer to the SMB acquisition space, I’m eager to learn from experienced professionals and build relationships with like-minded individuals. If you’re open to a 20-minute chat, I’d love the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and explore ways we can stay in touch.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Michael Castellano

It’s a good niche but very popular so a lot of competition on the buyside, as others have stated.
I have some relevant experience, live not too far from you and teach in New Haven. I’m looking to partner with operators. So reach out if you’d like to chat.
