I am a first time solo searcher in the process of raising search capital.

I have thought about starting a Search Fund for quite some time, and in the process I have convinced myself that doing a US based search as an international searcher has great potential and it is what works best for me. I have read Jim Sharpe's blog about many success stories of international searchers in the US, but I also understand that it does not come without corresponding challenges.

I would really appreciate talking to searchers that have gone through this process to better understand their experience, as well as to identify investors that are open to this path.

I am in a similar situation and am mostly hesitant regarding navigating visa requirements given the current climate and difficulties gaining H1B's / Green Cards even for larger FIG institutions.

Are you alluding to specific process difficulties faced by international searchers or the more qualitative difficulties of acquiring and running an operating business in a unique cultural setting?
