Hi all, I recently came across an article by Holland & Knight on Seeded Sponsors, a middle ground between the bootstrapped Independent Sponsor and Committed Fund. In summary, they talk about the rise of hybrid deal sponsorship models that fall somewhere in between a traditional committed private equity fund model and the independent sponsor/self-funded searcher models - IS raising seed or search capital for more PE-style deals.
