Searching without geographic constraints advice

Hello all,

After being introduced to the idea of search funds, I am seriously considering looking at developing a search funds. My hesitation remains to be the risk of winding down or worse buying a bad business. One other issue that I have been thinking about is that I don’t have any dependencies which allow me to be geographically agnostic. Having said that, I am worried that it might make it actually more difficult to filter through to the right business.

For folks who have been in a similar position, what were some of the lessons learned on how to optimize a wide search. What were some of the pre requisites to make the process more productive?
