Hi everyone, I'm running an independent search from between Budapest/Vienna and I'd love to connect with others. Targets are UK or Irish SMEs. The thesis is credential-gated labour inside mandated-demand markets: work that can only legally be done by accredited or certified people. Supply-constrained markets essentially. Fire and life-safety services is where I've spent the most time, but the filter is the criteria, not the sector. Background: computer scientist by training, 7 years as a developer, and for the last 4 years I've run a lead generation and advertising agency serving SMEs. That's shaped my outlook on search, though I'm using broker platforms alongside proprietary sourcing. Funding is backed by family capital with plans to use some leverage. Not looking for service providers, so no solicitation please :) I'm posting because almost everyone here searching UK deals is physically in the UK, and almost nobody in this region is on the forum. Two things I'm after: If you're based in Budapest, Vienna or nearby, I'd like to know you, regardless of where you're searching. Happy to trade notes on running a UK search remotely. If you've searched or closed in CEE, meaning Austria, Hungary, Czechia or Poland, I'm open to the region as a secondary hunting ground and would value a conversation.
