What are your thoughts on this line of thinking?
What ETA is NOT:
Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) isn’t about shopping from a menu or waiting for the perfect deal to land in your lap. Browsing broker listings or relying on email campaigns to “magically generate leads” often results in finding competitive, desperate sellers or unrealistic valuations.
What ETA IS:
As an acquisition entrepreneur, you need to think like a startup founder. Find an angle, be edgy, and stand out from the crowd. When I was searching, we weren’t always the highest bidder, but sellers kept us in the process because we brought a unique angle—something more refreshing than the usual “roll up, M&A, invest in marketing” playbook.
