Where are you based?
Sugar Land, Texas (Houston area).
What is your background?
I spent over a decade as a professional cricketer, playing at the highest domestic levels in India, before relocating to the United States. Since moving here, I've been involved in consulting, e-commerce, and exploring entrepreneurship through acquisition. I also grew up around family-owned businesses in hospitality, agriculture, and forestry, which sparked my interest in business ownership from an early age.
My wife, Srishti, is an active partner in the search. She holds a Master's from UCL and a PhD in Biochemistry from Oxford, and brings experience in marketing, relationship management, and family business operations.
What is your search type?
Self-funded search.
Are you solo, partnered, or looking for a partner?
Partnered. My wife and I are pursuing this search together as a husband-and-wife team.
What's your buy box?
Primarily focused on the Greater Houston area. We are most interested in established B2B service, specialty contracting, industrial service, light manufacturing, distribution, and other businesses with a strong operating history, loyal customer base, and opportunities for long-term growth.
Have you acquired yet?
Not yet. We are currently building our acquisition team, speaking with brokers, lenders, attorneys, and operators, and evaluating opportunities.
Where do you need the most help right now?
Financing and deal sourcing. As a first-time buyer navigating the non-SBA route, I'm particularly interested in learning from others who have successfully structured acquisitions using conventional lending, seller financing, and creative deal structures.
Where can you provide help to others?
I am happy to share what I'm learning throughout the search process and make introductions where I can. I also have experience building relationships across different industries and geographies and enjoy connecting people who may benefit from knowing each other.
Anything else on your mind?
I'm always interested in connecting with fellow searchers, operators, and ETA professionals—especially those based in Texas. If you're in Houston, I'd be happy to grab a coffee and compare notes on the search journey.
