We're working hard to grow the Searchfunder community in Nebraska. Please take a moment to introduce yourself below. Some questions to consider answering: Where are you based? What is your background? What's your buy box? Have you acquired yet? Where do you need the most help right now? Where can you provide help to others? Anything else on your mind? We'll be able to have much deeper discussions if you can provide as much detail as possible. A paragraph or two is perfect. Thanks @redacted‌ Hey everyone, I'm Aaron Beauclair, based in Lincoln. Glad to see this group growing in Nebraska, and happy to introduce myself. For background, I've spent the last several years building out a self-funded search through Highmark Ledger LLC, after coming out of an operating background. Most of my time these days goes into direct outreach to owners across the Lincoln and Omaha corridors as well as staying up on AI. On the buy box, my core target is accounting and bookkeeping firms within roughly a three-hour drive of Lincoln or Omaha, doing $1M to $3M in revenue. The piece I won't compromise on is that the owner is not the business. There needs to be a team that holds real responsibilities, some structure and systems already in place, and an owner who is genuinely ready to step away. Besides accounting, I would also consider buying in other industries provided the general buy box is met and it isn't a vice business. I haven't acquired yet. I've submitted a few LOIs and none have been accepted, so I'm still actively searching. Where I could use the most help right now is deal sourcing. That's the biggest constraint for me at this stage, and I'd love to hear from anyone working in SE Nebraska. Looking forward to meeting more of you. Feel free to message me directly if any of this overlaps with what you're working on.
