Luke, appreciate the tag. Based in Caldwell. Mechanical engineering degree, 20+ years in construction (residential, themed entertainment, then commercial electrical PM). Currently Principal Category Supply Manager at Micron in Boise, exiting at close. Buy box: trades, trade-adjacent, B2B services, manufacturing, distribution. SDE $400K-$2M, EV $1.5M-$5M. Treasure Valley first, then drivable parts of the Mountain West. Asset sales only, no franchises, no restaurants. Started searching November 2025, so about 7 months in. Several LOIs along the way. Two walked for legitimate reasons (one seller refused to produce basic DD docs at full ask, another tried to convert "seller carry" into a price premium at bank rates). Still active and a few things in motion. Help needs: nothing urgent. Mostly looking for direct-to-owner channels in southwest Idaho. Rotary, chamber events, industry meetups where aging owners actually show up. The broker pipeline is producing but I want better at-bats before deals hit the market. Help I can offer: notes on the Idaho broker landscape, SBA lender comparison work (Live Oak, Byline, ICCU vetted), ROBS funding experience (just went through Guidant), and construction trades or electrical contracting DD perspective. Always open to coffee or an adult beverage with anyone working similar geography or industry.
