Great initiative, @Luke Tatone! Happy to introduce myself and our group. I am based in Orlando, FL (Central Florida), right in the heart of the state. I have been running a SearchFunder meetup group here for the past two years, and it has grown into something we are really proud of. We regularly have members drive 2+ hours to attend our in-person monthly events, which speaks to the demand for genuine connection in this community. As a group, we have been active acquirers. Our members have collectively closed on several dozen businesses, not just in Florida but across the US. I'm in Orlando and acquired a business in the trade show industry in 2019 through a self-funded search, which I still own and operate today. I now invest in other's acquisitions and am happy to add value in any way I can.
