I’m beginning the search for my next W-2 opportunity and thought I’d put this out to the Searchfunder community. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to see both sides of the table. My background is in mid-market and F500 Ops / CI leadership with a foundation in engineering. I’ve worked primarily in manufacturing, and I’ve also acquired and operated a small business in parallel. The business is manager-run today, and I’m currently working through a sale process with intent to close by EOY. I recently and intentionally took some time away from my last corporate position to focus on the business, recharge, and gain a different perspective on value creation. Owning a business has given me a much deeper appreciation for the realities of cash flow, labor management, customer retention, and the day-to-day decisions that ultimately drive value. I’m most interested in roles focused on operations, continuous improvement, transformation, integration, PMO, or other value creation initiatives. I think my combination of large company leadership experience and direct SMB ownership experience gives me a somewhat uncommon perspective that can be valuable in the right situation.
