Searchers who started their search before 30 — how’d you handle the credibility gap?
Curious to hear from people who kicked off a self-funded search before turning 30. The friction I keep hitting: brokers and sellers default to reading “young” as “inexperienced” and “inexperienced” as “risky,” regardless of what’s actually behind it.
If that was you — a few specific things I’d love to hear:
∙ How you positioned your background to sellers/brokers when you didn’t have decades of operating experience to point to.
∙ Anything you said or did that visibly changed a broker’s or seller’s tone once you led with it
∙ What you wish someone had told you before you started
Thanks!
