What industry were you in before Searching?

Hi all - Interested in a community discussion covering the backgrounds of searchers to ultimately help future searchers and provide wisdom/insight.
Just thinking out loud - I would think that there is a transferrable skillset that can be transferred over from spending time in deal-related roles in finance (think investment banking) and also from private market investment roles (PE) before transitioning to searching.
However, I would also think that there is an equally beneficial/important skill set that comes from backgrounds outside of finance, which would also help searchers have a fresh perspective during a search (think engineering, healthcare, law, etc.)
Perhaps the best way to get the discussion going (and to ultimately analyze the data) would be to list:
Main Industries you have worked in:
Benefits/positives that you found were/are transferrable to searching: (Discuss how you think your background in this space helped you in your search)
Skills you wish you would have had during your search: (Perhaps understanding accounting better, financial modeling, sourcing, exposure to certain industries, etc.)
Looking forward to this and think it will be beneficial to all!
