I am starting a self funded search and am looking for the best ways to source deals in the US. Does anyone have ideas besides the usual websites?  Thanks

Andrew - Dunn & Bradstreet is a great resource for business information. Although it is not cheap (I pay a little under 3k a year) it offers the ability to search a multitude of industries and access data (sometimes inaccurate) on revenues, employees, location, web page, some contact data, etc. Great for a sourcing effort on a direct to the owner basis. I will caution you here as these individuals get a lot of this. You really need to know what you are looking for. This will help you tremendously.

If you aren't looking to spend that type of money business brokers are a great resource outside of the traditional mass marketed small biz sites like bizbuysell etc.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Andrew, we have been working with quite a few search funds and have dramatically cut down on their allocated search time. Check out our website sourcescrub.com and feel free to shoot me an email at redacted put, we believe that highly qualified investment professionals shouldn’t be wasting their time with the manual aspects of sourcing/diligence. Our team of 500+ researchers on the back-end are manually profiling businesses (capturing everything from firmographic info to contact information for key decision makers) and putting them into our web-enabled platform for you to search, sort, and filter through to identify investment opportunities.
