Search Funds in Gulf Countries Council (GCC) mainly UAE, KSA

Hello Search Fund Community,

Are there any active searchers, search fund CEOs, or search fund investors currently based in the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) or KSA (Riyadh) on this forum?

I'm particularly interested in understanding your experiences, with a special focus on how you navigate the aspect of leveraged, interest-based finance within the region. I'm aware they follow islamic finance, instead.

Do the local banks have different assumptions or requirements for their LBO/operating models?
If so, how do they differ from the standard western approaches?
