I would love to hear more about what you the search funder are looking for in investors? What specifically? What matters the most? is it the investment? Is it the people behind it? Do you want security? A long term relationship? As an investor i would love to hear more about what the searchers are looking for.

Something that's important is investors that are transparent about their agenda, goals etc and don't have any hidden agendas. This is of course hard to assess in advance and to ensure a long-term working relationship. Industry or specific expertise and network can be very valuable. But it also depends on the set up of investors you have (if you have several), it's too time consuming too have many hands-on investors. But if you have too many passive ones you'll miss out on possibilities.
