Search Fund vs Using own equity to purchase

Im new to this forum. Curious if anyone has done an analysis of going the search fund route, using own equity and or going the franchise route?

^redacted‌ - a huge number of Searchfunders are self-funded and raise equity at the time of the deal. Franchising is also a pretty frequent discussion topic.
