A Post Capitalist Era + AI Automation
First, we worshipped God. It died.

Second, we worshipped Productivity/Money. It’s about to die.

Third, we will worship Meaning/Happiness.

If AI robots take jobs you never wanted to do, did you really lose anything?

Isn’t the point of work to live? To instead live with presence, hobbies, community and happiness?

Great minds are currently pushing to move us from the worker economy to the meaning economy, and with it, people will finally be able to enjoy life.

Make no mistake, this shift from capitalism to whatever new social contract will be very painful - governments will be slow to adapt and will offer different solutions (UBI seems to be popular). Unemployment and civil unrest will be high in the next few decades; And non-extinction is not guaranteed by the AI alignment minds working on this critical problem.

But.

Assuming we all survive . . .

There’s no reason not to think it will enhance the lowest standard of living for humanity as all tech revolutions before have done.

We can usher into a new era of abundance: clean water and food, affordable 3D printed housing, infinite energy from nuclear fusion, bespoke 3D immersive entertainment, all human health conditions cured, etc. so much more.

Not to mention, aging being solved.

People will have centuries to explore their potential without rush. Multiple careers, multiple hobbies, multiples lives.

But a threat to all this looms on the horizon. . .

Digital Authoritarianism Democracy is being questioned as strongmen authoritarians are appealing globally now, with one historic exception: access to AI powered surveillance capabilities powered by decades of volunteered data by capitalist customers.

Privacy will truly be dead in this new era as corporations/states will:

1. know where your money is (CBCDs)
2. know where you are (electronics bugged + national digital ID for controlled clearance/prevent escaping the country)
3. know what you say (social media monitored)
4. most chilling: know what you think (brain-computer interfaces or cyborg augmentations normalized in society like plastic surgery)

Any disobedience? You’re shunned from housing, income, food, internet, etc because they own all means of production. They have their AI surveillance ready on the switch.

What does this all mean for us, searchers?

We’re lucky, the M&A world is small and the game is highly leveraged; With historic rates of boomer/x’rs retiring, we’re in the perfect position to benefit from the greatest transfer of wealth and ensure financial prosperity for ourselves and close loved ones.

People who have money will be protected, people who don’t will suffer.

Money allows us the ability to be offgrid by being ironically on all grids (multiple passports, internationalizing your income, assets, taxes, etc)

There’s still time: AI automation hasn’t replaced raising capital, and governments haven’t perfected a digital one world order.

Action Steps:

1. Stay Positive: “AI will enhance workflow and results for me, because I will not cave into the AI hype/fear and use it intelligently”
2. Learn to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Reclaim.ai, etc, to see how they can help in your search workflow right NOW, so you have an edge before it becomes mainstream (research AI agents too, those will come out next year)
3. Prioritize your health: DON’T DIE. Longevity Escape Velocity is on the horizon###-###-#### is the current estimate)
4. Above all: GET ASSETS BEFORE NEOFEUDALISM (be an OWNER NOT RENTER) because upward mobility may not be possible in the future.
